Keep Calm, Chance Coaching Is My New Client

With the summer floating away and autumn settling around us like the dew on the grass and the blackberries in the hedgerows, work is coming in thick and fast at NTC HQ which can only be a good thing. As well as planning more PR School Workshops and meeting with businesses in Devon and London in the next few weeks, and I am also delighted to be working with Jenni Donato from Chance Coaching. Jenni specialises in offering life coaching to mothers dealing with unexpected challenges that come their way and she knows about this first hand as her daughter has hip dysplasia, the same condition as my younger son, Lucas and we met via my support network, DDH UK. …

The launch of PR School

I love PR and I love teaching, talking and mentoring, so this month has seen the launch of PR School. PR School is an idea I have been working on for a while and am excited to see where it goes. We already we have nearly 300 members in the closed Facebook community where there is the sharing of ideas, brainstorming of projects, as well as hints, tips and a sprinkle of motivation and inspiration each morning and this is proof that PR isn’t just for celebrities and major players. While I have been fortunate enough to work with global brands such as Cartoon Network, CNN, Hewlett-Packard and Discovery Channel, I have also seen first hand the power of PR when it …

Get the ball rolling with you book PR in 2018

Christmas has been and gone and it looks like 2018 is going to be a busy and exciting year. As well as working with my regular clients and taking on ad-hoc projects, I am currently knee deep in draft one of my next book with Nell James Publishing. When I wrote Cast Life – A Parent’s Guide to DDH, I was able to use my PR experience from the previous twenty years to get my book out there. Review copies, images, competition prizes, comment pieces and several targeted press releases allowed me to work with the media to secure dozens of print and online interviews as well as radio and TV appearances and over the past two years I have …

Be safe on your cycle commute

Today I handing the NTC blog over to Angus King from cyced.co.uk  I’m tremendously fortunate to share my passion for road cycling on Natalie’s blog; although she tells me it’s been a while since she was on her roadie and is now off-roading… I’ll forgive her! As a cyclist and cycling blogger, my advocacy stretches to the moon and back. And it’s been stretching ever so more recently now the cold’s hit and people tend to be a little less inclined to get out. But it’s also much darker, and if you are a commuter like me you’ll want to stay safe! It’s no surprise cycle usage is on the up as it’s good for the environment and your health. Bike …
